I forgot to mention how I got on with my new non-girly saw from Screwfix.
I used it to cut up the picture rails and skirting boards I’d removed from the walls so that I could take all this unwanted, fungus-ridden, nail-ridden wood to the tip in the car.
It’s a great saw. It cuts easily and with surprisingly little effort on my part. I’d been expecting my arm to ache after using it to saw up so much wood, but it didn’t ache at all. I love my saw.
