Holes in the wall

We’ve finally worked out how to remove the towel rail in the shower room — Allen key required, not screwdriver. One of the fittings was a bit awkward, but it didn’t defeat me. So now, we also have a new towel rail.

Removing the fixtures and fittings in the shower room leaves a lot of ugly holes filled with uglier wall plugs. I asked Colin how to get rid of them.

“You can’t,” he said.

I refused to believe this, and asked Google instead.

Google suggested I screw a screw in a little way — not so far as to expand the wall plug — then get a claw hammer and lever it out:

Guess what, it worked.

So now we have a million holes not filled with anything. We need some Polyfilla.
