The last time we lived in a house, it was rented. It was part-furnished. Sadly, neither we nor it had a sofa. What we did have was a bed. A double bed. The house already had two beds and didn’t need another. Therefore, instead of having a sofa-bed, we had a bed-sofa.
In the boat, the settee is attached to the boat. It’s going nowhere when we move.
The previous owner of the house left us some furniture, including two beds but no sofa. I plan to use the spare room as a study with a sofa-bed for when we have guests to stay. Therefore, the bed in there must go. It must go into the living room and become our latest bed-sofa.
