Today, I ran 5K in 30:11. This is my personal record. Next stop, less than 30 minutes!
I didn’t think today was even that fast. I chugged up the hill and I even chugged down the hill. But the rest was apparently quite speedy.
Looking back at my history for this run on Strava, it looks like I started off slowly, improved, but reached a plateau. Then I started steadily improving, and it’s a good feeling to see I’m getting faster. I wonder if the fact I can get back into my fancy, sleek running gear has helped.
Once I’ve achieved a consistent < 30 min / 5 km, I'll look to extend the route a bit. I won't be running any half marathons just yet, though.
