I have wanted to write my own WordPress theme for ages. I’ve created a child theme before, and I’ve started a complete theme before, but it’s tricky!
This time, I’m using WordPress’s Twenty Twenty-One v1.1 theme as a basis for the structural elements and the different features of WordPress, such as posts (and their various types), pages and excerpts. I’ll use their styling as a basis for my own, but it will be all mine. Hopefully, it’ll look beautiful and stylish enough to use on my own websites: this one and PandaPolish by Pandammonium.
I’m calling my new theme Pandammonium, and its default colour scheme will include purple. Not a surprise, surely?
