I thought it would be tedious but straightforward to fix the images after my database disaster, but it’s not.
In WordPress, there’s a list of all the media files uploaded to the blog. Each of the images that you used to be able to see are still listed there, but without the images and there’s no obvious way to edit the entries in the list.
I thought I’d upload the images to the appropriate folder on the file server using FileZilla, but it didn’t work. I can upload the files alright, but WordPress doesn’t get that they’re there. I don’t know how to make WordPress realise they’re there.
