Today’s gin was Smoked and Salted Gin from nginious!. I had it with Fever Tree tonic water.
It was colourless and smelt of gin. It tasted of salted caramel, with a definite salty aftertaste, which made it very moreish. I didn’t get much of the smoky taste, though.
Nginious! cold-smoke chestnuts before maceration to get the smoky flavour. They also use orange, quince, coriander and ginger.
I loved this gin, and I gave it 9/10. I would definitely drink it again.
