Today’s gin was Heather Rose Gin from Strathearn Distillery. I had it with my usual Fever Tree tonic. It was peachy coloured and tasted like Turkish Delight at first, but got more sugary towards the end.
Strathearn describe this gin as [f]ragrant, floral and light, sweet yet spicy
, with the following botanicals:
Juniper, coriander seeds, orange peel, lemon peel, liquorice root, rose petals and purple heather flowers.

It was quite pleasant on the whole, despite my dislike of Turkish Delight, and I gave it a 6/10. I’d probably drink this one again.
Here’s what I tweeted about it:
#Ginvent day 4: today’s gin tasted like Turkish delight to start, giving way to sugar. It was a pale peachy colour. pic.twitter.com/dWXZWhD24o
