I’m absolutely knackered from work, and it was only my second day!

Things to do today
Thursday 9th March, 2006 @ 11.53am GMT Europe/London by Pandammonium
After yesterday’s lack of doing all that much, and what with staying in bed all morning due to being tired from last night’s beer (although I only had 5 or 6 pints, I think. I’m such a wuss these days, it’s scary), I haven’t done anything at all yet. I’m not even clean and shiny yet! Still, never mind. Today’s list of things to do is:
- Domestic Goddessicity:
- Tidy up.
- Hoover.
- Possibly sort out that bloody cupboard in the kitchen.
Take the washing out.Hang the washing up - it’s already been taken out and was sitting behind me all this time. Duh.Wait for the washing that’s already hanging up to dry properly, then hang the washing up to dry.- Go to Grumpy’s.
- Upload Portuguese stuff.
- Modelling of Bininj-Gunwok using xfst (for an hour or so).
- *** Do Spanish homework. ***
- Work through word-to-stem rules for LAGB.
I saw some of my friends last night in the pub, but they’re not a happy bunch, due to the company they work for doing their usual. The bastards. (The company, not my friends.)

- Possibly be visited by Ex-Flatmate-Colleen on her way back up.

Weekendness
Sunday 5th February, 2006 @ 12.21pm GMT Europe/London by Pandammonium
Met my two bestest boys (apart from C, of course) in the St Ragamuffin/Raggedy-Ann pub on the corner of King Street on Friday. That really is a nice pub, despite the fact that the barman asked, rather too incredulously for my taste, “A pint?!” after I ordered myself a beer (I was there before the lads - they were King Street Running). What does he think I am, some sort of half-drinking girlie-wirlie?
When the lads arrived, they weren’t as pissed as I thought they would be, as they were quite quick to point out. We had such a good laugh; it was great to have the three of us together again. We were supposed to be meeting the others in the Tram Depot, but we thought we’d have another pint after the current one first. Then we had a sneaky G&T (double, natch) in the Baker’s. I think we were a little reluctant to join the others, as it is so rare that we get to enjoy only our company. Still, we went on to the Tram Depot, where it all becomes rather hazy. I remember seeing C and Fubu and maybe JimBob and vaguely Jayne, I think, and lots of other people. There had been a release party for Materials, and they were all allowed to stay out after the meal at lunchtime, except for Damo, bless him, who had to go back to work after lunch. One, two, three: awww. Apparently, he was in no end of a huff about it. *sniggers*
No idea what time we left, but Witless disappeared; he was supposed to be staying with Mackem. I think we looked about for him a bit, but then it turned out that he’d got a taxi back, so all was ok. He was later found sitting on the doorstep, lashed.
Stinking headache on Saturday. Should have done some work on my Portuguese and/or my proposal. Still, I’m about to put that right now. C’s been ever so busy doing domesticated stuff. It’s worn me out!

New job
Friday 6th January, 2006 @ 9.15pm GMT Europe/London by Pandammonium
Well, I’ve had my new job for a week now (well, four days because of the Bank Holiday), and I like it. So much better than my last job. So far, I’m playing around with web pages to make some data look pretty and to see where there are gaps. The pages are not online yet, but you wouldn’t be able to see them anyway, because they’re password protected. At least they should still be by the time I’ve finished with them! To do all this, I have to be methodical and systematic; things I’m not good at because I’m dreadfully disorganised. And I still have Wendy’s pen, but that’s not my fault, because she shut the office. It came in handy for enrolment on Wednesday, anyway.

Mental head
Thursday 22nd December, 2005 @ 10.53am GMT Europe/London by Pandammonium
Like I just telt Mackem on MSN, it’s probably about time I did what they’re paying me for, but I really don’t feel like it. Last night was FAB night, which I wasn’t going to go to, but seeing as they had Xmas Happy Hour yesterday instead of tomorrow, with C’s boss making Feuerzangenbowle, a German thing involving mulled wine, plenty of good strong rum, a sugar cone and Burning. Oh yes. Burning. The result was a desire to go out after all.
Turned out it was just B night, as there was no restaurant booked. B-Bar was attended, with much quaffing of Erdinger from proper funny glasses, then ordinary pint glasses. This was despite some barman in some other poncy pub (All Bar One, I think), telling me that if you pour it into a normal glass, the head goes mental. This was while he made me wait while they found and washed some proper glasses. Anyway the beer seems to cope perfectly well without its poncy glass.
I think if it wasn’t for the fact that there is a restaurant booked on FAB nights, we’d never actually get food, like last night.
Anyway, after B-Bar, we went to Fez, where it appeared to be Salsa night, which was good. I danced with Hansruedi and C, but I don’t recall who I danced with first. At some point, C had a strop at me (neither of us remember why) and went home early via Gardy’s to get burgers. I tried to go after him, but the bouncers wouldn’t let me out, probably because I was clutching a bottle of cerveza con lime. There was a lad who wasn’t allowed back in, but all his stuff was inside. He was shivering to death. He was still there when we left. That reminds me, I owe someone some money for the taxi.
When I got home, C was eating a burger, and I tried to greed some off him, but he’d got me one as well, bless him, so I scoffed that. Just what I needed.
This morning was grim. C’s got the day off today, but I had to come in. Didn’t get in till after 10, lazy fecker that I am, and, can you believe there’s no sugar in the kitchen! My sugary tea is unsugary as a result, and ergo not as beneficial. The one good thing is that the big O is on holiday now, so I can get away with doing feck all for a while. I really do need to wake up, though.
Heh - an appropriate song on LaunchCast: Coming Back to Life by Pinkus Floydus.
