The world that revolves around Caity Ross
He acabado de animar a desayunar con gachas de avena. Alguien dijo que debo comerlas con mermelada or fruta pasa, pero tengo que tenerlas con azúcar y leche. Tomo una taza de té también.
Crackin’.
I had to go out this morning, “bright” and “early” to give Henry his new tax disc. Such a stupid law it is that says you can’t put it on earlier than the day after the old one runs out. I mean, why?! Anyway, C rang me up at about seven this morning, to make sure I got up, after last night’s “exertions” - oh, I did another cartwheel - oh, in that dress! - but it didn’t work; I fell asleep again and then half an hour later, he rang, but I had just got up to go in the shower. He rang again shortly after, to check I was up, which I was, having just got out of the shower, but then I fell asleep again, and didn’t wake up until about nine, when I did actually go out and give Henry his tax disc and then I went to Tesco to buy orange juice and milk. When I got back, I had extra-sugary tea (that’s how bad it was/is) and juice. Need some more, actually.
I was looking forward to eating some more of my birthday cake. I have to finish it all off myself - terrible, eh? It’s chocolate and squidgy and delicious. There are meant to be ten portions, but C and I managed to get two each out of half of it and I seem to have reduced the other half to only three slices. I don’t know how I managed that!
Anyway, I’d been looking forward to it, and after tea, I made a cuppa and sat down with a slice of it. I was really enjoying it when Dusty demanded I play with her on the stairs with the jingly ball! I had to lick my stick-like fingers (i.e. brown and sticky - joke, get it? No? *Sigh*) and throw the ball to up the stairs. She made some good catches and she did some good batting - twice she whacked it across the room! I was most impressed, but my chocolate cake was whispering to me. Luckily, Dusty seemed to tire of the game quite soon and preferred to curl up on my knee while I savoured my cake. Can you savour sweet things or do they have to be savoury?
On a different note, I am thinking about changing my hair colour again. Not the dramatic change I made last time, though! I went from brunette to bleached blonde. It was ok for a while, but after I got the roots done, it went extremely straw-like. I got it dyed dark again, but that started to wash out, so I got it all cut off. Now, I think there are a few light bits at the ends, but I’m going to put a semi-permanent dye on it; deep mahogany. It only lasts three to five weeks, so it’ll be gone in less than a week. Depending on how it goes, I might dye it more exciting colours!
