Ok, maybe during the course of the day, I had drunk more than I first thought…

Snow

Why does a few inches of snow bring the region to a standstill? The A14 and M11 were apparently the worst hit roads in the country, but it was only a few inches of snow!!!

Surely I did not really need to join the AA that night. In fact, I wouldn’t have had to if the Peugeot dealer had only admitted that there was something wrong with Henry’s brakes. Peugeot, St Neot’s: my brakes are not right! If they were ok, they would not have prevented my car (Henry) from moving on Thursday night. I would not have have had to join the AA. The AA are very expensive. Henry was booked in on Friday because of his brakes. Despite what Peugeot, St Neot’s said, the brakes are faulty. Due to the weather, the mechanics were not able to get to work on Friday, so Henry is now due to be seen on the eleventh of February. We’ll see.

Tonight - Pub Quiz

Angie noticed I was quiet. I did point out that I was sober. She also said I was missed last week - aw! I was quite touched by that - I’ve made a mark somewhere :)

It was pointed out out at a later stage that I must have had a few more pints as I was more… disruptive. I’m loved really….
Angie was actually helpful in the last round, as we’d messed up what question was what. She came round and sorted us out, question for question. Much appreciated - cheers, Angie!

Didn’t do us any good in the long run though - we did appallingly: 43/60. We didn’t even get an extra mark for the most neat and tidy entry, although I tried my hardest to write neatly. My teachers at school always said my writing was untidy - my GCSE maths teacher said my writing (and my maths) was “slapdash” whereas most teachers merely said it was “untidy”.

Tonight - The Way Home

I was dying for a wee, so I used Tesco’s facilities. There is a sign though, that says “customers’ toilets” or similar, so I felt that once I had used them, I should buy something. I bought a cd by Feeder and a cd of the 80s compiled by Friends Reunited. Honestly!
