Ringing in the changes
The phone rang.
The voice said she’d like to speak to Mr or Mrs Ross.
“This is Mrs Ross,” I said, thinking how odd that still sounds.
The voice said our shiny new sofa bed’s going to be delivered on Tuesday.
Marvellous.
Just have to get the Hubster to clear out space for the bed-sofa in the garage.
