Bluebottles
There is currently a bluebottle buzzing round my house. It managed perfectly well to find the gap between the back door and its frame, which was not even a foot wide, whilst flying around in the great outdoors. Why can’t it just go out the same way instead of flying around like a buzzing maniac?
There’s no point even opening the window to let it out either, going by other flies that have come in. They fly to the window, so you think, aha! I’ll open the window, and it’ll go, ooh, fresh air! I’ll go out there, it’s nice! But no, they just head-butt the window frame.
I’ve been trying to teach her to realise that the prawn treat is under the tub, but she just doesn’t get it. She just purrs and settles down, sometimes poking the tub with her nose.
I don’t think she’s even bright enough to just wait for me to give her the prawn anyway because if you put the treat so it sticks out from underneath just a smidge, she does get the treat with her paw. Unless she knocks the tub so it covers the treat, then she’s yet again baffled. This, I feel, will take a long time.
