Blogs: My Books
I’ll try to review the books I’ve read, so it’s more than just a list of books
The Closers by Michael Connolly
Bosch is fed up of retirement and returns to RHD, after his old partner, Kiz, has pulled some strings with “the man on 6″. They’re partners in the Open-Unsolved Unit, and a cold DNA hits comes through for one of their assigned years. It’s up to them to fight through lost records, missing people, bureaucracy – and Irving – to sort out who did what to who and when.
The trouble with this book, although it’s nice to see Bosch back in the LAPD, is that it’s dry. All the action happened in 1988, and this is 2005. There’s a lot of introspection and office politics involved. It’s definitely not one of the better books by Connelly.
