Blogs: My Books

I’ll try to review the books I’ve read, so it’s more than just a list of books

Enigma by Robert Harris. Didn’t really think it would be my cup of tea, but it’s not your typical war story.

Was the film based upon this?

Bletchley Park is one of the more fascinating WWII visits in the UK. We went there for the day and got almost a three hour guided tour.

    It certainly is.

I wouldn’t mind going there, but I’m not one for guided tours – especially not three hours! You know what my concentration span is like ;)

Do you get to play on the enigma machine?

We got to meet the guy in charge of the restoration and hear it clacking away, but there was a big barrier between us and the machine itself, unsurprisingly.

We did get to stand right next to a reconstruction of one of the bombes they used before Colosus.

It was £20 but well worth it.
