Henry
You may recall I had Henry handwashed in October. Only the outside was cleaned, but this week, I decided I’d get him cleaned inside and out — what a treat for him! I went shopping and left the man to it.
When I got back, he shone again, and they’d hoovered the carpets and the boot, dusted the dashboard and even took the floor mats out and given them a good wash! Amazing.
My insurance company emailed me the other week, saying I should do all these checks on Henry to make sure he’s ok for winter driving. I haven’t ever done this before, but, what with Henry getting on a bit now and the long drive up north beckoning, I thought he maybe should be checked. But not by me!
I took him to the garage yesterday, and they spent an hour checking him, and when I came back, they said he was fine, apart from a couple of things, which would wait till his MOT in May. This was good news. When I asked how much it was going to cost, I got even better news: it was free!
So now, Henry is a healthy, clean, happy car!

wish my car was clean and happy…. I no I need 2 new tyres soon and I have a chip in my front windscreen, maybe your post will encourage me to get it sorted ..car wash first

I’d get the chip seen to first, if I were you before it gets worse. Autoglass will probably do it for free on your insurance.
