Reading Belle de Jour’s latest post gave me happy memories – jumping around Ku Club in Sunderland to Where’s me jumper? by the Sultans of Ping FC. She’s right – you can’t stay in a mopey mood listening to that!

With reference to the picture that web site has of Ku’s front door during the day, it’s either an ancient photo, or the place hasn’t changed a bit since I was last there. My word, can it really be a decade or so ago? At least? As for the comments about it being a minging place, if you accept it for the dive it is, you can have a really good night out. As long as you’re underage or a student. Ah, those were the days…
