We were woken up last night, around 3 am, by torrential rainfall. C hoped the cat was in the house. She was, I told him, she was by my side. I was stroking her.

Today, the weather looked nicer, but it thundered a short while ago and the lights (at work) flickered. No sign of the pooters going off. I backed my files up, just in case, but then realised it was only to a folder on my pooter where they get backed up automatically, but wouldn't necessarily get backed up at that instant. So I was deluding myself that my files were safe.

It's now quite windy and cloudy, but there's blue sky around.
